The Cinema Entertainment Consortium (CEC) will showcase the best student-produced digital motion pictures of the academic year at 7 p.m. May 3 in Sursa Performance Hall.
The CEC is a cross-disciplinary effort involving Ball State's departments of English, telecommunications, and theatre and dance. This immersive experience gives students an opportunity to produce short films, DVDs and other interactive media.
This year, five of the 24 student films will be presented. The event is free and open to the public. There will be a reception after the screening.
CEC projects are produced by the College of Fine Arts; the College of Communications, Information, and Media; and the College of Sciences and Humanities and sponsored by the Center for Media Design's Institute for Digital Entertainment and Education (IDEE).
