Ball State's elementary education department is offering summer tutoring for first- through seventh-grade children who are struggling with reading.
Sessions still available are:
- Session 1 — 8 to 9 a.m. Monday through Thursday, June 11 to July 12 at Minnetrista Cultural Center. There will be no sessions July 4-5.
- Session 2 — 8 to 9 a.m. Monday through Thursday, June 1 to July 11 at Ball State Teachers College. There will be no sessions July 4-5.
The program is designed for students whose reading levels are at least one year below their current grade. The student must be proficient in oral English. In addition, students must have had formal English reading instruction.
The program is open to the public. The cost is $50. Families enrolling two or more children will be charged $30 per child. Financial aid is available.
