Michael Hicks, director of Ball State's Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER), was recently interviewed by several national media outlets for his analysis of the economic impact of the winter storm (Jan. 31-Feb. 3) that struck the Midwest and East. Hicks said the storm could play havoc with budgets of local governments as well as disrupt trade. His appearance included the Nightly Business Report, a PBS television program broadcast by 250 affiliates around the country, and The Hays Advantage, a radio program aired nationally by 250 members of the Bloomberg Business radio network.
