The Ball State Backyard is back for guests to visit at this year's 155th Indiana State Fair Aug. 5-21, including Ball State Day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, in the Agriculture-Horticulture building.

As the ninth year for the Ball State Backyard, the exhibit is sponsored by the College of Architecture and Planning. Leslie Smith and Malcolm Cairns, professors of landscape architecture, are designers of the Backyard. The Digital Dome  (a digital art installation), a garden train and landscaping designs will be featured.

On Ball State Day (Aug. 6), visitors can play at the Ball State sport zone, receive free health screenings from Ball State's School of Nursing and try out their skills as TV news, sports or weathercasters and take home a DVD of their performances. Guests will also have the opportunity to win free items at the Alumni Association booth.
