Robert and Emma Holmes have donated more than $300,000 through their estate to establish the Robert Thomas Holmes and Emma Bauman Holmes Scholarship. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to select Ball State undergraduate students pursuing majors in business or elementary education.
The scholarship will benefit students from the Holmes' areas of study. Robert was a professor emeritus of marketing at California State University, Long Beach, and Emma was a professor emerita of education and child development at California State University, Fullerton.
The scholarship will be based on high academic achievement, with financial need an additional consideration. Scholarship recipients must be in the top 20 percent of their college program. The award may be made to cover tuition, room and board, and other educational expenses.
Availability of the Robert Thomas Holmes and Emma Bauman Holmes Scholarship is dependent upon an awards selection process established by Ball State. For more information about this scholarship and others available at Ball State, contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at 765-285-5600 or visit www.bsu.edu/finaid.
