Ball State University alumna Dorothy Golliher donated more than $90,000 through her estate to the Golliher Family Scholarship fund, which she created in honor of her late husband, Richard L. Golliher. The Golliher Family Scholarship will assist incoming freshmen who are recent graduates of Union School Corp. in Modoc, Ind., and have demonstrated academic excellence.

Golliher earned a bachelor's degree in business education and home economics, as well as a master's from Ball State. Her husband, Richard, was a banker in Randolph County for more than 30 years. The Golliher family has deep ties to Ball State, with alumni including two of Dorothy's sisters, a son and grandson.

Availability of the Golliher Family Scholarship is dependent upon an awards selection process established by Ball State. For information about this scholarship and other scholarships available at Ball State, contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at 765-285-5600 or visit www.bsu.edu/finaid.
