The Ball State and Muncie communities are invited to participate in public forums taking place April 21 and 22 to provide input on desired qualities of and areas of emphasis for the new president.
While forums are indicated for various groups, anyone is welcome to attend any forum that fits best with their personal schedule. The Ball State Board of Trustees announced at its last meeting that public forums would be conducted the week of April 18 as part of the search for a new university president.
Dates and times for the forums are as follows:
Thursday, April 21 — L.A. Pittenger Student Center, Cardinal Hall B
1 p.m. — faculty and academic staff
2 p.m. — general staff
3 p.m. — student body
At 5:30 p.m., alumni and community leaders are invited to a session held in the Arena Lounge inside Worthen Arena, with convenient nearby parking.
Friday, April 22 — Burkhardt Building, Room 100
9 a.m. — faculty and all staff
10 a.m. — student body
All sessions are expected to run about an hour.
The forums are part of the trustees’ continuing commitment to engage the campus and the community regarding the shared values of and aspirations for the university.
