About Us

The Chief Strategy Officer provides University-wide leadership in the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the University. Our team supports divisions, colleges, and units in successfully developing their strategic implementation priorities, ensuring that those priorities align with the University's goals and strategic imperatives. In addition, the Chief Strategy Officer oversees the offices of Strategic Planning Support, Institutional Research and Decision Support, and Community Engagement.

Office of Strategic Planning Support The Office of Strategic Planning Support is dedicated to supporting the implementation of the University’s Strategic Plan.
Institutional Research and Decision SupportWe facilitate the collection, analysis, and interpretation of institutional data to support student success and strategic decision-making.
Community EngagementWe connect University resources with community priorities and initiatives through strategic partnerships, neighborhood development, and community-engaged research and creative endeavors.

Strategic Plan 2025–2030

Destination 2040: Our Flight Path establishes Ball State University's ambitious goals for our second century. This plan was designed with input from faculty, staff, students, alumni, community partners, and benefactors. It provides a strategic framework with five long-term goals for 2040 and a small set of strategic imperatives to be executed by 2030.
