Employee Relations is responsible for:
- administering and coordinating Ball State’s labor relations policy
- representing Ball State in its relations with bargaining unit employees
- ensuring compliance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement
The Director of Employee Relations and Affirmative Action serves as the University’s chief spokesperson in contract negotiations and administration with AFSCME Local 293, the exclusive representative for service personnel under the Conditions of Cooperation. Employee Relations works closely with union officials throughout the year to advance a harmonious and respectful working relationship.
