Enchanted Hills Neighborhood Study
Provide assistance to a remote part of Kosciusko County/Syracuse/Lake Wawasee area. That is a rather geographically isolated part of the county which has deteriorated into a zone of poverty, crime, delinquency, academic failure, unemployment, alcohol/drug abuse, neighborhood deterioration and hopelessness. The Bowen Center is a private not-for-profit community mental health center. Though we are not usually in the business of community organization, the mental health condition of the children and adults in Fascination Place (the trailer park section of Enchanted Hills) is so affected by the environment in which they live, that we feel a sense of responsibility to try to make a difference.
