Allison Cipriano, Ph.D. (she/hers) is an Assistant Professor of Social Psychology in the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Counseling. She is a graduate of Ithaca College (B.A. in psychology), Ball State University (M.A. in social psychology) and University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Ph.D. in social psychology).
Dr. Cipriano’s research interests include stigma, identity, sexual and gender-based violence, community, and factors affecting wellbeing for those with multiple marginalizations (e.g., those minoritized by their sexuality, gender, race/ethnicity, etc.). Her work currently focuses on plurisexual (i.e., attracted to multiple genders) women.
Her teaching interests include gender, sexuality, prejudice and discrimination, diversity, intersectionality, research methods, and pedagogy.
