The Educational Studies minor can help you learn how people learn and apply that work to your future career and citizenship.

There are four themes available in this minor: Educational Technology, Multicultural Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and Adult and Community Education. Each theme includes two 3-credit required courses and two 3-credit elective course. Other electives can be substituted with the approval of the program director.

Who is the Minor For?

The Educational Studies minor is designed for students who:

  • Are pursing careers where they will need to design and facilitate training
  • Are interested in learning how people learn
  • Have an interest in how technology can support learning
  • May teach at the college level in the future
  • Are pursuing careers that involve global outreach
  • Will serve on a local school board in the future
