About Kay Furnish

Kay Furnish brings a wealth of experience to her role, with a teaching career that began in 2011. Her instructional background spans diverse settings, from a rural school district to Burris Laboratory School at Ball State University. She has extensive experience with students across multiple elementary grade levels.

As a dedicated member of her professional community, Mrs. Furnish actively contributes to academic committees and fosters strong connections between schools and the community. Her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth is evident in her ongoing participation in professional development and continuous learning.

Mrs. Furnish's personal experience as an Indiana foster parent further fuels her passion for meeting the unique needs of children in the state. She is deeply committed to preparing preservice educators to be well-equipped and effective teachers who can serve all learners, driven by a profound passion for helping children learn and thrive.
