About Peggy Sue Rice

Peggy Sue Rice has more than 30 years experience as an educator and has had her work published in national and international journals. She has also contributed to the publication of books related to social justice issues. In addition, she has presented at national and international conferences. Her research includes mixed methods or qualitative studies examining diversity issues via culturally diverse children’s literature and far transfer of knowledge in preservice teachers and elementary children, especially in regards to developing diversity responsive educators and children who are responsible citizens. She also focuses on community engagement with family literacy, critical literacy with culturally diverse children’s literature and transdisciplinary curriculum.
