Is a banking profession in your future? Or are you interested in learning more about the banking sector and how you can play a role in it? The Department of Finance and Insurance has partnered with the Indiana Bankers Association to provide you with curricular and career opportunities in the field of banking. Our minor in banking guides you through several foundational courses to elevate your understanding of bank management and provides a career path in banking. The internship program will provide you with the opportunity to gain real world experience in settings outside of the classroom and will provide you with an understanding of how local banks impact communities and the local economy.

Minor Requirements

Introduce yourself to the world of banking through relevant and easily accessible courses. The minor is designed to augment your major field of study or to satisfy your curiosity about the discipline.

Depending on whether you're a business or non-business major, you'll complete the requirements for this minor over 15 or 24 credits.

Credits

  • 15 credits for business majors
  • 24 credits for non-business majors
