The Management and Leadership minor provides students an understanding of how to manage and lead people across a broad array of organizations, including non-profit, government, entrepreneurial, and corporate settings. You will learn how to apply concepts such as motivation, building relationships, and self-leadership. You will also gain an understanding of how to manage organizations by making evidence-based decisions and implementing new organizational initiatives.

A Management and Leadership minor works well with all majors (excluding a major in Management and Leadership).

Courses

You’ll take classes focusing on leadership development, management, and decision making. The classes you will take include:

  • MGT 250 Lessons in Leadership
  • MGT 300 Managing Behavior in Organizations
  • MGT 367 Managerial Decision Making
  • MGT 370 Leadership Development
  • Management and Leadership electives (3 credits)
