Our Spanish Teaching Major combines advanced language study with immersive cultural experiences and hands-on teaching practice, equipping students to engage their classrooms with confidence and creativity.
Students will build proficiency in Spanish through coursework in conversation, grammar, phonetics, and literature, while deepening their understanding of Hispanic cultures. Paired with professional education courses and a student teaching experience, this program prepares students for Indiana teaching licensure and a rewarding career in education. In addition to the required courses, students seeking a license to teach in the modern world languages need to complete a study program where the target language is spoken.
