High School concert choirs from around the region gather in beautiful Sursa Performance Hall to share choral music with each other and to receive ideas and coaching from Ball State's choral faculty. Each ensemble will perform and then work with faculty conductors on stage.
Invitational Date
Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
About
Join us for a day of performance, coaching, and choral camaraderie. Ball State University will host an encouraging, non-competitive event for high school concert choirs Saturday, November 1, 2025. The invitation is open to mixed-voice, treble-voice, or tenor-bass choirs. Spend the day in magnificent Sursa Performance Hall, Ball State’s acoustically superb and beautiful concert hall. Perform on stage for other high school choirs, observe a performance by our own student choirs, and coach with the university choral conductors.
Choirs are invited to perform 10-12 minutes of concert repertoire, usually three selections. Immediately following your performance, your choir will receive feedback on stage by Ball State’s choral faculty, then a coaching session with another member of the faculty. Daytime events include a performance by Ball State Choirs.
Registration
Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Clinicians for the day include Ball State choral conductors—Andrew Crow and Kerry Glann—along with Amanda Moreno and other members of our music education and vocal coaching faculty. If you’d like your high school concert choir to participate in the invitational or you have further questions, please contact Andrew Crow, director of choral studies at Ball State.
