Ball State's annual Summer Concert Series features three summer ensembles which are open to students and community musicians.

Summer Chorus

Ball State's Summer Chorus is open to students, faculty, staff, and community singers. This fun, invigorating music experience is led by Ball State conducting faculty.

Each series holds four or five Monday night rehearsals, then performs a light concert in Sursa Performance Hall

Students may register to earn credit for the course (MUSC 351) or participate as an extra-curricular event for zero credit (MUSC 151).

Summer Concert Band

Ball State’s Summer Concert Band is open to students, faculty, staff and community musicians.

The band rehearses once a week during summer session one, culminating in a performance in Sursa Performance Hall.

The band performs a wide range of repertoire and is led by Ball State conducting faculty.

Students may register to earn credit for the course (MUSC 340) or take it for zero credit (MUSC 140).

Summer Jazz Ensemble

Ball State’s Summer Jazz Ensemble is open to students, faculty, staff and community musicians.

The ensemble rehearses once a week during summer session one, culminating in a performance in Sursa Performance Hall.

The ensemble performs a wide range of jazz repertoire and is led by Ball State jazz faculty.

Students may register to earn credit for the course (MUSC 341) or take it for zero credit (MUSC 141).
