John Ratz earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in advertising with a minor in marketing and an emphasis in business sales. During John’s time at Ball State, he served as Vice President of the American Advertising Federation, competed in the National Student Advertising Competition and was a member of Pi Sigma Epsilon.
Since his time as a student at Ball State, John focused his career on dreaming big and a growth mindset. John started his career working in media planning on accounts such as H&R Block, Nationwide Insurance and Edward Jones Financial. John then transitioned his career to advertising technology and marketing technology. John was one of the first hires in the TubeMogul Chicago office where he served on the enterprise sales team which eventually lead to the successful acquisition by Adobe.
John currently works for one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world working with programmatic clients at one of the world’s largest agency holding companies. Others have described John as “extremely empathetic, inquisitive, and attentive to people,” “incredibly versatile,” and “a hard-working, conscientious individual with a positive attitude.”
John attributes his career success to involvement in the American Advertising Federation Club, the advertising faculty at Ball State, his classmates in the advertising program and the support of his family.
