Chad Menning joined the Department of Sociology at Ball State University in 2003 after receiving his PhD in sociology from the Indiana University. He also has a MA from the Indiana University as well as a BA from Arizona State University. Dr. Menning’s areas of interest are family, social inequality, and quantitative/qualitative research methodology. His publications have appeared in Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Journal of Family Issues, Journal of Contemporary Ethnography, Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Journal of Health and Social Behavior. Dr. Menning currently teaches sociology of the family, social inequality, and graduate survey research. He also serves as advisor for the Ball State Martial Arts Club and has developed and presented Elemental, a sexual assault prevention program.
