Jim Rhinehart (he/him) is a versatile pianist, composer, arranger, and educator who is comfortable in the worlds of theatre, commercial music, and the concert hall. He is a pianist in the Music Theatre Option, playing for voice studios, showcases, and shows. He also teaches basic musicianship to first-year music theatre students.

Jim has degrees in Theory and Composition (D.A., Ball State University, B.M., Central Michigan University) and in Music Education (choral) (M.M.E., Florida State University). In addition to teaching at Ball State, he has taught at the middle- and high-school level, as well as at community college.

Jim has music-directed over 30 musicals and played for countless others. He has performed in all five parks at Walt Disney World. He composed over an hour of music for From Normal to Extraordinary: Ball State’s First Century, a student-produced documentary celebrating Ball State’s 100th anniversary.
