Students at Orientation

Now that you’re a Ball State Cardinal, it’s time to get better acquainted with our campus community and prepare for your first semester here. At Orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor, register for classes, learn more about our supportive resources, and build relationships with your future classmates.

Whether you’re a first-time freshman or a new transfer student, we will provide all the answers you need to confidently transition into this new chapter of your life. The entire Ball State community is committed to ensuring your success from day one.

Register for Orientation

To fully prepare for your time at Ball State, all new students are required to attend an Orientation program on campus. To receive your Orientation invitation, you must first confirm your enrollment at Ball State.

Bring Your Family

Family members are encouraged to attend Orientation with you! While Orientation is mandatory for incoming students, this event is optional for family members. They will participate in some sessions with you as well as other sessions just for them. Our family programming is specifically designed to help family members become familiar with Ball State and its many resources to support your transition to college.
