Admission Requirements
Guaranteed admission to Ball State requires the following:
- Completion of an associate of science (AS) degree at Ivy Tech and submission of a final transcript showing degree completion.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in the specified associate degree at Ivy Tech. We will consider a cumulative GPA of 2.0–2.5, but admission is not guaranteed. Students must also meet each academic program’s course grade requirements.
- Adherence to all Ball State academic policies once enrolled here. This agreement guarantees admission to the University and to most academic programs except social work and nursing. For these majors, students should apply for program admission at the same time they apply to Ball State.
NOTE: Students with prior academic or criminal misconduct are exempt from any guaranteed admission to Ball State and will be reviewed on an individual basis.
Transfer Credits
Students admitted under this agreement will receive at least 60 semester hours of transfer credit toward their bachelor’s degree. This provision does not apply if students change their major at the bachelor’s level to something other than the designated TSAP transfer program.
Transfer courses do not count in a student's GPA at Ball State.
