David Letterman Lecture Series with Amy Goodman

Ball State University will welcome Amy Goodman, the host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, as part of the David Letterman Distinguished Lecture Series. Ms. Goodman will share her knowledge and expertise with students and the greater Muncie community at 7 p.m. on April 8 at Pruis Hall.

Ms. Goodman is a trailblazing journalist whose work has reshaped independent media. As the force behind Democracy Now!, she has provided an alternative to mainstream news, reaching millions through more than 1,400 public television and radio stations worldwide. Her commitment to journalistic integrity has earned her numerous accolades, including the I.F. Stone Medal for Journalistic Independence from the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard and the Right Livelihood Award, often called the “Alternative Nobel Prize.”

An accomplished author, Ms. Goodman has co-written six New York Times bestsellers, including Democracy Now!: Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America. Her books highlight grassroots activism, resistance, and the power of independent journalism.
