Tickets

Each year, Emens Auditorium presents six to eight Artist Series performances that can be purchased in a season subscription. Additionally, the Pick 4+ Package is available to customize your season with the purchase of 4 or more qualifying events.

The new season is announced at the conclusion of the current season, usually around May or June.

Ball State students are entitled to one free ticket to each of the Artist Series events at Emens.

To claim free tickets, students must bring a valid student ID to the Emens ticket office during business hours to have it scanned.

Free tickets are available two weeks prior to each performance and are only available until 5 p.m. the night of the event. After that they will be $10. Many of the additional events throughout the season are just $5 each or five for $20.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds unless a show is canceled or rescheduled (evaluated on a case-by-case basis). Account credit or refunds may be available only in the case of event cancelations or date change. Handling fees are not refundable.

If there are multiple performances, tickets may be exchanged for another performance. There is a $5 exchange fee (per ticket).

Refunds or exchanges must be made at the point of purchase. Therefore, if you purchased tickets on Ticketmaster.com, you will contact Ticketmaster to process your refund.

Typically children ages 2 and under do not need a ticket if they plan on sitting in a family member's lap. If you wish to have a seat for that child, you will need to purchase a ticket for them.

Shows deemed appropriate for children will have a youth ticket price (18 & under). Some exceptions apply.

Some events may be inappropriate for children. Age restrictions are listed on each event page if necessary. Contact the Emens box office if you are unsure if an event is age-appropriate.

Will Call tickets can be picked up 48 hours after the order is placed or on the night of the show at the Emens Auditorium box office.

Patrons must present the actual credit card used for the purchase and a photo ID.

Tickets ordered within a week of the event will be held at the box office for pick up.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Ball State Cardinal Cash*, cash, checks, and money orders for ticket purchases.

*Cardinal Cash is only accepted at the Emens box office in advance and will not be available at Sursa Hall or Pruis Hall on the night of a performance.

When events go on sale, the box office can be very busy. Therefore, to ensure service quality and accommodate walk-up traffic, phone orders will not be taken at the Emens box office until after noon on the day of an on sale.

To order by phone through Ticketmaster, call 800-745-3000.

Tickets that have an advance price will be available until 5 p.m. day of show.

If the show takes place on the weekend, the advance price ends at 5 p.m. the Friday before.

Emens Auditorium stands behind Ticketmaster.com as the only Internet site licensed to sell tickets at Emens or Pruis. No other site has been authorized by Emens Auditorium to sell, re-sell, or auction tickets.

To ensure you receive the best possible service, receive your tickets promptly, and to ensure you are not purchasing counterfeit or stolen tickets, we urge all of our ticket purchasers to make their purchase via Ticketmaster.com or the Emens box office.

Each performance is different. Most performing arts events run approximately two hours.

If you need the exact run time for a performance, please call the box office for assistance.

We recommend arrive 30-45 minutes before the performance. Please check your tickets for start times.

Our staff makes every effort to open lobby doors one hour prior to each performance.

Light concessions are sold at most events in the lobby. Additionally, wine and beer may be available at some performances as indicated on each individual event page.

For questions, call the Emens box office at 765-285-1539.

Due to artist contractual agreements, on occasion, patrons who arrive late will be asked to wait in the lobby and will be seated at the first appropriate break in the program.

We make every attempt to begin each performance on time.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in Emens Auditorium or the adjacent buildings. Ball State University is a smoke-free campus.

Recommended parking is available in the McKinley Avenue Parking Garage (near the Music Instruction Building, across the street from Emens) at McKinley and Ashland Avenues.

There may be a nominal cash fee for parking in these structures (usually $3) depending on the need for event traffic control.
