The Spring 2025 Writing Challenge encourages faculty, staff, administrators and graduate students to dedicate time to their personal and professional writing projects.

Led by Dr. Scott Hall, this workshop explores the value of genuinely seeking to understand differing, often polarizing perspectives and includes ideas for how to help students experience and learn from such an exploration.
3 p.m.
Join SPA Proposal Manager, Maria Bumbalough, and Augusta Isley, Associate Director of Pre Award Development and Outreach for an overview of the NSF CAREER Proposal for faculty career development, what it is, what it means to be awarded, and how you can be a part of a CAREER learning cohort.
4 p.m.
Join fellow Cardinals for pizza and a workshop on the federal budget, its impact on you, and why your voice matters. The Concord Coalition, a non-partisan public education organization focused on fiscal responsibility, will lead an interactive exercise in which you will experience the challenge of balancing the federal budget, confront the tradeoffs and choices involved in budget decisions, and discover why these decisions are so important.
