Mary SeRine
Senior Executive Director of Advancement Services and Prospect Development
Mary is the Senior Executive Director of Advancement Services and Prospect Development.
Mary came to Ball State after working at Butler University (5 years) and University of Indianapolis (13 years). The most inspiring part about her current job is seeing the end results of what she and her team put so much time into—from scholarships to exciting new programs to new technology. She also loves to see how many people are passionate about Ball State and continue to give of their time, talents, and treasure. These examples reassure her that there are loving, kind, and generous people in the world.
When she is not working, Mary enjoys spending time with family, reading, writing, visiting museums, watching horror movies and documentaries, and traveling. Mary is also a multi-award winning novelist. In addition to her role in higher education, Mary is passionate about education in all forms. She served on the Westfield Washington School Board and has been very involved with her sons’ activities—most recently spending many weekends cheering on Sham-Rock-Botics, Westfield High School’s robotics team.
At home, she is supported by her husband Zach, sons Ethan and Rowan, and cats Bellatrix.
