Former elementary school teacher and principal John E. Jacobson, a reading specialist and expert on high-quality accountability practices, has been named the new dean of Teachers College at Ball State University succeeding Roy Weaver. He leaves the position of dean of the College of Education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas.
