Ball State offers a tuition remission benefit for eligible employees, their spouses, and dependent children. Additional criteria may be required for eligibility, and certain programs may not qualify.

You can find tuition remission details in the policies below.

Employees
  1. Review the applicable Undergraduate or Graduate Tuition Remission Policy above
  2. Go to the Employee Tuition Remission Application
  3. The top portion of the form will be completed with your information as it appears in Banner.
  4. Complete each of the three required sections as indicated by a red asterisk.*
    1. Select Term for remission
    2. Pay / Time Arrangement (Check with your supervisor if selecting any option other than attendance outside normal work hours).
    3. Work schedule. Enter days and hours you normally work.
  5. Once all required sections are completed click the Submit button. You will receive an email confirmation that the form has been submitted and you may view the status of the request under My Requests.

  2. Go to the Undergraduate Tuition Remission Application for Eligible Spouses and Dependent Children Form
  3. The top portion of the form will be completed with your information as it appears in Banner.
  4. Complete each of the four required sections as indicated by a red asterisk.*
    1. Relationship to employee
    2. Does your spouse and/or dependent child currently have a bachelors or higher degree?
    3. Select term for remission
    4. Enter Student BSUID - You will need to wait to complete this form until the day after the student registers for classes in the term selected so their enrollment shows up correctly in the last section of the form.
    5. Check box to the left of Click to Search for Student to autofill Student BSUID, Name, and Curriculum in final section of the form.
  5. Once all required sections are completed click the Submit button. You will receive an email confirmation that the form has been submitted and you may view the status of the request under My Requests.
