Student Financial Services Updates

Consistent with prior years, and due to Winter Recess from December 24, 2024 to January 1, 2025, and USPS delays, we encourage you to make your payments online via eBill. Please note the updates below:

  • Form 1098-T: If you want your in-person or mailed payment to be included in the 2024 Form 1098-T, it must be received in our office by December 20, 2024. Ball State University will be providing Form 1098-Ts to all eligible students electronically by the end of January 2025. If you have any questions, please contact Student Financial Services at AskSFS@bsu.edu or visit our website at: Student Financial Services - Tax Forms .
  • Minimum Payment: The calculated minimum payment on your bill includes any anticipated financial aid awards for the upcoming semester. If your minimum payment is $0.00, you do not have any payment due for the next billing cycle. It is best to always pay the minimum payment amount due to avoid late charges. Ensure that you have set up your Authorized Payer and Proxy.
  • Late Fee: Spring bills are published on December 7, 2024 and are due on January 1, 2025. However, due to Winter Recess, any payments received by January 6, 2025 will not be considered late.
  • Financial Aid: Financial aid will be applied to student accounts beginning January 1, 2025. You may view current account activity details via eBill
  • Financial Aid Refunds: We will begin releasing refunds on January 3, 2025. Sign up for direct deposit and complete all outstanding aid requirements before January 1, 2025 to avoid delays.

All payments are due the first of every month. Ensure you pay at least the Minimum Amount Due on your eBill to avoid a hold that could prevent registration.
