Career opportunities with the center for professional selling

Our sales program is built around industry partnerships and activities. We offer eight signature events throughout the year to connect you with our students. These events give you one-on-one face time with our students and participate in experiential learning opportunities.

Industry Partner Events and Activities

Partner Career Fair

Partner-Only Career Fair

Reserved for companies in our industry partner program, this exclusive event gives our partners the chance to recruit our students before any other company. In previous years, this event adopted a “flipped” career fair approach, with students setting up displays to promote themselves for attending companies.

 

Sales Networking Event

Our spring networking event gives employers time one-on-one with our sales and marketing students. This event is designed to give each participating company extended time to socialize with and get to know students interested in pursuing sales and marketing careers. Previous networking events included events at Pinheads, Top Golf, Dave & Busters, and more.

 

Internal Competitions

In the fall and spring semesters, our professional selling classes participate in internal competitions built around real-world industry cases. Working with companies in our industry partner program, we craft real-world sales problems for our students to solve through competitive role-plays and presentations that involve interactions and feedback by real-world sales professionals. By participating in these competitions, you’ll see our students’ sales skills firsthand through real-time interactions.

 

Sales Experience Trips

In the fall and spring semesters, our professional selling courses make on-site visits to some of the locations of our industry partner companies to learn more about their operations, sales processes, and career opportunities.

Open Events and Activities

Sales Career Fair

Our sales career fair is open to all companies and organizations looking to hire our top sales and marketing students. Join us during the spring semester to promote your internship or job opportunities and connect with students actively looking for career opportunities. MCOB Networking Bash

This fall networking event is our kick-off to the school year. Over 300 students from programs throughout the Miller College of Business attend to network with company representatives and learn more about their career opportunities. This is truly a bash. In previous years, this event involved golf simulators, ping pong, yard games, free food, and more.

Speaking Opportunities
