Tiffany Westfall, Assistant Professor of Accounting, is an alumnus of Ball State University, earning her Bachelor's degree in Accounting in 2003 and her Master's in Business Administration in 2004. After graduation, she spent 8 years in private practice. Six of those years were at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), in both the Indianapolis, IN, and Chicago, IL, offices. While employed at PwC, Tiffany worked in the Assurance and Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services groups. Upon leaving PwC, Tiffany worked at JBT Corporation (JBT) within the Internal Audit group and led international audits to ensure corporate policies and procedures were applied consistently across the global operations. After leaving JBT, she entered the Accounting Ph.D. program at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Tiffany completed her doctoral work in 2016 and joined the Ball State faculty the same year.
Tiffany has teaching interests in accounting information systems and auditing. Primary areas of research include auditing, financial reporting, and initial public offerings. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, water sports and other outdoor activities, spending time with friends, and Nebraska Huskers and Indianapolis Colts football.
