Ball State’s Hospitality Innovation and Leadership program offers you the opportunity to study from faculty, staff, and industry experts with years of service in event planning, food and beverage management, and hotel management in a very practical and applied way. Students learn how to be leaders in a diverse, ever-changing, and trending industry.
The student-run and operated restaurant Allégre is a fine dining experience. Students learn to be highly-skilled managers/entrepreneurs in the hospitality aspects of running a restaurant. This vital and experiential learning environment provides hands-on and practical application of coursework in a real workplace setting. Students will be versed in the tools of the trade in this well-rounded program.
Major Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in hospitality innovation and leadership blends the University Core Curriculum with courses in business foundations, hospitality and food management, and general electives to round out your degree.
After completing your core courses in the program, you’ll be able to select electives in the service area that best fits your career aspirations. The degree can be completed as a bachelor of arts, which requires a language component, or a bachelor of science.
