Tayla T.C. Lee, PhD, HSPP, (she/her/hers) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Counseling in the College of Health at Ball State University. Dr. Lee received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and postdoctoral training at Indiana University - Bloomington. Before joining her current department in Fall 2026, she spent ten years on the faculty of Ball State's Department of Psychological Science. She is a licensed psychologist in Indiana and maintains a private practice specializing in psychological assessment.

Dr. Lee's research focuses on psychological assessment processes and instruments, especially the validity of scales from the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) family of instruments, including the MMPI-3 and the MMPI-A-RF, as well as dimensional models of psychopathology and the cognitive and personality processes that contribute to externalizing difficulties. She has co-authored a book on the MMPI family of instruments and serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Personality Assessment. At Ball State, she teaches graduate courses in psychological assessment and psychopathology and directs the Personality and Psychopathology (P2) Lab.
