Brandy James
Assistant Teaching Professor of Early Childhood, Youth, and Family Studies
Dr. Brandy D. James is a children's author and disability advocate whose research focuses on Black fathers of children with disabilities, family engagement in early childhood programs, and kinship care. Her work explores the intersection of race, disability, and caregiving to promote inclusive and equitable support systems for families. Through both her scholarship and storytelling, Dr. James amplifies underrepresented voices and champions the rights of children with disabilities and their families.
