Dr. Beth Cooper served in a variety of roles in P-12 education for 30 years including positions as teacher, coordinator, director, associate principal, principal, and superintendent. Dr. Cooper joined the BSU faculty in 2024 after spending seven years as the Superintendent of The University of Texas at Austin High School Special Purpose District, an innovative, virtual school district supporting students in Texas and beyond and fostering partnerships with school districts and state agencies. Her research interests include blended and virtual instructional models, practices and policies to support advanced and gifted learners, and variables involved in school choice.
