The Geography concentration offers a mix of human and physical geography and tools for spatial thinking. You’ll study global and regional patterns, mapping and geospatial technologies (such as GIS), environment‐society interactions, urban geography, and the politics of space. Through both theoretical and applied coursework, you’ll build skills in geographic analysis and visualization. As a social studies teacher, you’ll be able to help students understand place, space, and how geography both shapes and is shaped by human activity.
