Graduate assistantships in the Miller College of Business are available only to students pursuing a graduate business degree through Miller College. Graduate assistants work in person on Ball State University’s Muncie campus for 20 hours a week. Remote graduate assistant positions are not available.

Graduate assistants support faculty, students, academic programs, research, and college operations. Depending on the position, responsibilities may include assisting with faculty research, grading undergraduate coursework, tutoring students, supporting academic programs and events, or completing other professional and administrative assignments.

  • All graduate assistant positions receive tuition remission for their service to the University.
  • The University will waive non-resident tuition for all graduate assistants, including part-time. No out-of-state fees are charged for students holding assistantships.

Prospective students interested in a Miller College graduate business degree and current graduate business students are encouraged to complete the Graduate Assistantship Interest Form.

The form allows you to share your academic background, professional experience, skills, and areas of interest in Miller College departments and offices that hire graduate assistants. You may complete the form even if you have not yet been admitted to Ball State University or cannot yet view graduate assistant positions in the Workday system.

Submitting the Graduate Assistantship Interest Form is not an official employment application and does not guarantee an interview, consideration for a specific position, or an assistantship.

Applying for an Available Position

All official graduate assistant positions are posted in Workday . Students must be admitted to Ball State University before they can access graduate assistantship postings in the Workday Student Jobs Hub.

Once positions are posted, students must apply through Workday to be formally considered. Students who previously completed the Miller College Graduate Assistantship Interest Form must still apply through Workday for each specific position they wish to pursue.
