The Department of Media at Ball State includes exceptional facilities and faculty. Our production facilities and equipment are industry-standard, and our faculty and staff are active nationally and internationally as producers, creators, and scholars.

Our Programs

About Us Academic ProgramsAlthough Media is one of the largest academic departments on campus, it doesn’t feel big. Our class sizes and active student organizations help create small family communities within our four concentrations:

  • film and media studies
  • digital production
  • news
  • media promotion and management

Our graduate program averages 12 new students each year, and they start together in the fall semester.
