Joan Fagan-Hoffman is an accomplished educator and multimedia artist whose teaching career spans several respected institutions across the United States. She has taught at The University of Akron and Stark State College in Ohio—where she was nominated for Adjunct of the Year—before continuing her academic journey at the University of Central Missouri and Valencia College in Florida. Recently, she has worked as an adjunct faculty member at Ball State University, where she continues to inspire students with her expertise and passion for media production and visual storytelling.

In addition to her academic work, Fagan-Hoffman is an award-winning photographer and videographer, recognized nationally for her creative achievements. Her work has contributed to the success of several Emmy-winning documentaries, where she played an integral role in shaping the visual narrative. Whether behind the camera or in front of a classroom, she is driven by a commitment to understanding people and the stories that shape their lives—melding her artistic vision with a profound interest in how humans think, act, and connect.
