Media content—from binge-worthy dramas to corporate training videos—has become an integral part of our day-to-day lives. Because all this content needs people to create it, our media production students graduate into a world full of opportunities.

Our Production concentration teaches students to create content from pre-production through post-production using industry-standard practices, equipment, and facilities. You can take Media courses during your first year on campus and get access to equipment as a member of a production student organization. All experience levels are welcome.

You’ll choose from a variety of courses based on your specific career goals and interests including cinematography and lighting design, cinema sound, cinema production process, producing, podcasts/play-by-play/presentation, editing and color science, multicam production, motion graphics, web design, storytelling techniques, aerial storytelling, industry audio/video/multimedia workshops, and more. You can also participate in our signature immersive learning experiences including our annual Spring Break trip to Los Angeles and a year-long short film production project called Radiance Cinema.

What happens after graduation? Our alumni create content for film and television, marketing and communications, news organizations, social media, advertising, education, sports organizations, and non-profits. Some move west, east, or south; others choose careers closer to home. Some pursue advanced degrees like an MFA in filmmaking, directing, or screenwriting.
