“BSU Tonight” is a TV entertainment show formatted to appeal to college students and the general public. The objective is to produce high-quality programming and give you the training needed to excel in upper-level Media classes. The program airs on local public access cable channels. Learn more.
Cardinal Aces
Students who join Cardinal Aces learn to demonstrate and fly unmanned aerial vehicles. They also go on field trips to UAV workshops, demonstrations, and flying events. Cardinal Aces supports other Department of Media organizations by providing aerial footage for programs, films, and television broadcasts.
A student organization that operates like a real-life movie production company— just without paychecks. Cardinal Filmworks provides a platform for students of all majors to network and gain experience in the making of short films.
“Cardinal Sports Live” is a weekly television show that looks at Ball State intercollegiate and club sports from the unique perspectives of the show’s personalities, highlighting sporting events and featuring interviews with coaches and players. Each season, “Cardinal Sports Live” challenges a Ball State team or group of coaches to a game in their respective sport. Learn more.
Fringed Production House
For over two decades, the Frog Baby Film Festival has showcased the best student films produced by Ball State undergraduate students. Films are juried by a panel of faculty, but the entire event is organized, implemented, and hosted by student members of the Frog Baby Film Festival organization.
The purpose of Fringed is to build a community of empowered collegiate women and minorities of all backgrounds who are interested in the field of telecommunications and to provide a safe and comfortable environment for these people to experiment, create, network, learn and hone skills.
“Indiana Outdoors” creates content that highlights Indiana natural resources, historic sites, and recreational opportunities around the state through stories shot independently by students. Learn more.
“NewsLink Indiana” is Ball State’s Emmy Award-winning nightly newscast. Students perform every role, both on-camera and behind the scenes, for a live 9 p.m. newscast that reaches all of Delaware County via cable. NewsLink offers Ball State students opportunities to learn firsthand how to write, produce, shoot, edit, report, anchor, and begin building a portfolio of their work. Ball State's premier movie review and entertainment news show, “Reel Deal” is a half-hour weekly television show that highlights current, upcoming, and classic Hollywood films and film-related events and productions around campus. Students interview campus filmmakers and record feedback from students on location at university film events. Learn more.
“Waking Up with Cardinal Weather” is Ball State University's first and only morning mobile show focused on getting you ready for the day through local news, weather, and lifestyle trends. “Waking Up with Cardinal Weather” airs every Friday at 8:15 a.m. Eastern time on Facebook. Learn more.
