Field Experience

Our program includes a Field Experience course that provides hands-on practice and opportunities to apply behavior-analytic skills in real-world settings. To enroll, students must submit an application that includes field site information, supervisor contact details, and the supervisor’s résumé or curriculum vitae for credential verification. Students are encouraged to select a supervisor with expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Please note that this course is separate from the supervised fieldwork hours required for BACB® certification. Per BACB® guidelines, students may begin accruing supervised fieldwork after starting their first course in the program. However, our program does not assign fieldwork supervisors or placements, nor do we assist with the completion of BACB® supervised fieldwork hours. Students seeking certification must independently arrange and accrue these hours with a qualified supervisor.

Professional Licensing

With the addition of field experience hours, Ball State ABA programs are designed to meet instructional requirements for Behavior Analyst Certification Board® credentials. For more information about licensing in your state or territory please visit the Licensing Authority’s website.
