Alumni are key to the success of our program. Often, our alumni speak to our classes or student organization or serve on our advisory board. Also, if you would like to see another deserving student thrive, consider making a gift to Ball State.
Get Involved
We encourage you to continue to participate in your department as an alum by sharing your valuable time, experience, professional, and academic contacts. Monetary gifts are useful and needed, but your nonmonetary resources can be just as valuable.
A few of the ways you can stay involved include:
- Speak at events and student presentations.
- Network with your fellow alumni, students, and faculty and explore academic and career development opportunities.
- Send us your business card and tell us about possible internships or employment opportunities that might accommodate the needs of our current students as well as other alumni.
If any of this interests you, please contact our office. We look forward to staying in touch with you and hearing all the exciting things you are doing.
Stay connected. Rely on us for support. The Ball State University Alumni Association is nearly 197,000 members strong—This incredible network is here for you! Get involved.
Make a Gift
You can designate your gift to a favorite cause, such as our department, or ask that it go to the university's greatest needs. Gifts to our department help social work students receive scholarships and provide other professional development opportunities.
Please consider making a gift to Ball State's Department of Social Work so that we can continue our work of preparing the next generation of social workers. The department benefits from five specific development funds, which allow you to target your donation.
Donations can be made online to the department by clicking the button below and selecting "Social Work" from the dropdown. To give to one of the funds listed below, follow this process:

Monies contributed to this fund allow the department to engage in creative and innovative ways to improve or enhance the learning experience of students. This include money for conferences and travel or software purchase targeted to social work applications.
