Teachers College Funds

Purpose

Provides funds for the welfare, support, and advancement of the Teachers College Alumni Association Programs.

Examples

Supports:

  • professional development for faculty
  • alumni gatherings
  • innovative program support

Purpose

To provide funds to benefit talented minority or under-resourced students pursuing degrees in elementary or secondary education.

Examples

Supports scholarships for students from diverse populations.

Purpose

To support specific activities related to the Schools Within the Context of Community program for critical service learning projects in the neighborhood, accomplished according to the priorities of the local school and/or neighborhood council, and enacted alongside community members.

Examples

Supports:

  • purchase of culturally responsive literature for neighborhood children
  • creation of a local Civil Rights Museum
  • redesign of classroom libraries at the local elementary school
  • convening costs relative to collaboration with community mentors, who function as co-teacher educators

Purpose

To provide funding for summer programs specific to Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism.

  • purchasing supplies for the Autism Camp
  • the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Purpose

The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for the general use by the Department of Early Childhood, Youth, and Family Studies.
