Donna Seage
Assistant Professor of Theatre Education
Assistant Professor of Theatre Education Donna Seage finished high school in Austin, Texas and attended The University of Texas at Austin where she earned a BFA in Theatre Education. She started her career in teaching high school theatre in Nashville, TN, serving in that capacity for 26 years in and around Nashville. While in Tennessee, Donna earned an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University. She also holds an M.A. in Theatre from the University of Houston’s and an MFA in Theatre Design and Technology from The University of Memphis.
Donna has decades of professional theatre experience having been a Technical Director, Props Designer, Director, Stage Manager, Producer, Actor and Director. She is a former Board Member for the Nashville Shakespeare Festival and is currently Past President and Executive Committee Member of the Tennessee Theatre Educators Association as well as co-creator of All State Theatre for High School in Tennessee and All State Conference Chair. Donna’s play The Conservation of Mass has been added to the Texas UIL High School One-Act Play Competition’s Approved Plays list.
Her interests include the pedagogy of technical theatre, play writing, outdoor theatre, Shakespeare in the schools and high one-act play competition.
