The School of Art invites the public to attend Posters for Peace: Voices from the Indian Context, an international design collaboration initiated by the South Asian Design Educators Alliance (SADEA). The initiative brings together twenty graphic designers and design educators from India and the United States (of Indian origin) to explore and interpret the idea of peace within the Indian socio-cultural context. October 20 – November 12, 2026. Free and open to the public.

The Ball State Writer-in-Residence program is thrilled to host Varian Johnson, award-winning author of middle grade and young adult fiction, in Muncie the week of October 19th-21st to read, write, learn, and talk with students in our community schools and after-school programs, and engage with community members around books and storytelling. At 1:00 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom on October 21st, there will be a fiction reading followed by an on-stage interview with Ball State alum—and New York Times bestselling memoirist—Ashley C. Ford.

Get ready for an exciting evening at the Homecoming Food Truck Festival. All Cardinal fans are welcome to gather your friends and head to the Alan Hargrave Lawn for a high-energy celebration packed with food trucks, music, and spirited team competitions.

The Student Composers' Forum features creative and innovative musical compositions written by undergraduate and graduate Ball State University composers. This event is free and open to the public.
