BACKGROUND:
Georgette Davis has over 15 years with Ball State University, Office of Charter Schools, credential including a bachelor of arts in English with a minor in business administration from Wartburg College in Waverly Iowa. She completed graduate studies in counseling at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa and a graduate certificate in charter school leadership from Ball State University Teachers College. She has received various management and public speaking training including the Dale Carnegie Institute.

Ms. Davis' professional experience covers 29 years in higher education including that of the director of multicultural resources, serving on the admissions committee for three major universities, grant writer and as the liaison to the community. She served on the Human Right Commission for Syracuse and Onondaga County while serving on numerous boards including chairperson of the board of directors for the YWCA and UNCF. She worked as an academic skills specialist, certified in numerous assessment instruments. She has taught test-taking, time management and various study skills courses at several universities and worked for over 20 years with elementary and high school educators creating a “pipeline” in higher education for underrepresented students.
