DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, Kittle Property Group, Inc.

As a development director, Caroline is responsible for the completion and submittal of Rental Housing Tax Credit Applications and Tax Exempt Bond transactions in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. In this role, Caroline expands the development pipeline through new construction opportunities, with a focus in workforce and senior housing. Responsibilities consist of site identification, contract negotiation, financial deal structuring, local government and development partner coordination, securing zoning and local funding, and application submissions to various state agencies.

Caroline is a 2013 graduate of Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning with a master of urban and regional planning and a real estate development certificate. She also holds a bachelor of science in public affairs from Indiana University (2007). Prior to her position at Kittle Property Group, Caroline worked at the Blackford County Economic Development Corporation as an intern and as a graduate assistant in the Teachers College at Ball State. Her position in the Teachers College led to the development of her thesis, which focused on the impact of neighborhood schools on education, community development, and the housing market.

Since joining Kittle Property Group, Caroline has assisted with development projects in seven states, and as a director, successfully closed over 2,000 units of affordable and workforce housing units in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

In her spare time, Caroline enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband and two greyhounds.
